Overview.... Our DR-510 compatible drum is designed to work seamlessly with the TN-570 toner. Life expectancy of the drum is approximately 20,000 pages, but due to temperature, humidity, type of paper and print coverage that is only an estimate. Stated approximate yield is based on 5% print coverage. When estimating quantities to purchase, consider that you will use about three toner cartridges for every one drum. It is not necessary to purchase equal amounts of the more expensive drum. You will know when to replace the drum when the LED blinks. Sometimes incorrectly referred to as a print head, the purpose of the drum is to transfer toner on to the paper before it is sent to the fuser unit.
