Description.... This is OSO's new compatible drum that replaces Brother DR520. OSO's drums are 100% compatible and 100% guaranteed to meet or exceed OEM specifications.

Capacity... At the time of publishing, Brother offers one drum with a 25,000 page yield at 5% coverage. OSO's drum is guaranteed to meet or exceed Brother's specifications.

Compatibility.... Our high quality, new compatible drum is for use with Brother DCP-8060, DCP-8065 DN, HL-5240, HL-5250DN, HL-5250DNT, HL-5270DN, HL-5280DW, MFC-8460N, MFC-8470 dn, MFC-8660 DN, MFC-8670 DN, MFC-8860DN and MFC-8870DW.

Overview.... Our DR-520 compatible drum is designed to work seamlessly with the TN-580 toner. Life expectancy of the drum is approximately 25,000 pages, but due to temperature, humidity, type of paper and print coverage that is only an estimate. Stated approximate yield is based on 5% print coverage.

When estimating quantities to purchase, consider that you will use about three and a half toner cartridges for every one drum. It is not necessary to purchase equal amounts of the more expensive drum. You will know when to replace the drum when the LED blinks.

Sometimes incorrectly referred to as a print head, the purpose of the drum is to transfer toner on to the paper before it is sent to the fuser unit. The TN-580 toner cartridge installs inside the DR-520 drum unit.
